TUSKEGEE, Ala. — The Tuskegee University men's and women's cross country teams will kick off their 2025 season on Friday, September 12, at the Falcon Classic, hosted by the University of Montevallo.

Head coach LaShaunda Easterling looks to build on last year's strong showing, aiming to position the Golden Tigers among the top programs in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) once again.

Both squads return with a mix of experienced veterans and promising newcomers, eager to make their mark at the season opener.

On the women's side, returners such as Genesis Harrell, Shalyah Tresvant, Akierah Walker, and Anaya Martin, who earned All-SIAC honors last season, will lead a group rounding out with three newcomers. Their goal is to translate success from last season into strong early performances on the cross country course.

For the men, the team expects strong contributions from returners Jayden Davidson and Christian Sanders. Several new faces will also make their Tuskegee debuts, including three transfers and a true freshman, adding depth and competition to the roster.
