Tuskegee Trio Earns All-SIAC Honors, Green Named Coach of the Year

ATLANTA, Ga. — Following a dominant regular season, the Tuskegee University women's tennis program has earned multiple postseason accolades, announced by the conference on Friday.
 
Junior Chloe Griffin-Harrington and freshman Leiloni Payton were both named to the 2025 SIAC All-Conference Team for singles, while the doubles duo of Payton and senior Tanyaradzwa Kaome also earned All-Conference recognition.
 
In addition, head coach Gregory Green was named the 2025 SIAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year, marking a landmark season for the Golden Tigers.
 
Griffin-Harrington was a model of consistency throughout the season, posting a remarkable 12-1 singles record, including a perfect 11-0 mark in SIAC play. She entered the postseason on a 12-match win streak and has primarily held down the No. 5 and 6 singles positions with poise and reliability?.
 
Payton proved to be one of the conference's most dominant singles players, going 14-1 overall and a flawless 12-0 in SIAC matches, winning nine of her last 10 and going undefeated on courts 3 and 4. She also emerged as a critical piece in doubles competition, teaming with Kaome to form one of the league's top tandems?.
 
The Payton and Kaome pairing finished with a 12-5 overall record and an 11-2 conference mark, regularly playing at the No. 1 doubles position.
 
The duo helped Tuskegee secure the doubles point in nearly every match, anchoring a unit that posted a .897 win percentage in conference doubles play?.
 
Coach Gregory Green was named SIAC Coach of the Year after guiding Tuskegee to a 13-4 overall record and a 12-1 record in conference, securing the No. 1 seed for the second consecutive season.
