TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee women's tennis player
Adjowa-Sika Serena Pascaline has been named the SIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced following the Golden Tigers' dominant performance at the opening SIAC Round Up in Orlando, Florida.
Pascaline was a key contributor in Tuskegee's undefeated weekend as the Golden Tigers posted six victories over three days at Sanlando Tennis Park to improve to 9-3 overall and 6-0 in SIAC play.
Competing primarily in the upper portion of the singles lineup, Pascaline delivered multiple strong performances throughout the weekend. She secured convincing straight-set victories, including a 6-0, 6-0 win against Albany State, demonstrating her control and consistency from the baseline. Pascaline also added another commanding performance in Tuskegee's victory over Savannah State, earning a 6-1, 6-1 singles win.
Her efforts extended into doubles competition, where she partnered with
Gabrielle Blanks to help Tuskegee secure early momentum in several matches. The duo contributed important doubles victories as the Golden Tigers consistently captured the doubles point during the weekend.
Tuskegee opened the SIAC Round Up Thursday with wins over Albany State (6-1) and Edward Waters (7-0), before sweeping Savannah State (6-1) and Clark Atlanta (7-0) on Friday. The Golden Tigers concluded the event Saturday with victories over Benedict and Spring Hill to complete the perfect weekend.
Pascaline's steady play in both singles and doubles helped anchor Tuskegee's lineup as the Golden Tigers dominated conference opponents and remained unbeaten in SIAC competition.
Tuskegee will return to action later this month with non-conference road matches in Florida against Rollins, Florida Southern, and Embry-Riddle.
