Preview: Tuskegee Women’s Tennis Travels to Face SIAC Rival Clark Atlanta on Saturday

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Riding the momentum of an undefeated conference record, the Tuskegee women's tennis team will travel to Atlanta to take on Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) rival Clark Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.

First serve is set for 2 p.m. ET at the Lady Panther Tennis Courts.

The Golden Tigers enter the match with an 8-4 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in SIAC play, continuing a strong 2025 campaign under head coach Gregory Green.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (8-4, SIAC)
Tuskegee is coming off a dominant weekend at home, where they picked up back-to-back wins over Georgia Southwestern (6-1) and Clark Atlanta (6-1) to maintain their top position in the conference standings.

The victory over Clark Atlanta last week came at the PepsiCo Tennis Courts in Tuskegee, and the Golden Tigers will now look to complete the season sweep on the road.

Through 12 matches this season, Tuskegee has been led by standout singles performances from several key players.

Senior Chloe Griffin-Harrington boasts a 7-1 record in singles play, including a 6-0 mark in SIAC competition.

Gabrielle Blanks also has a 7-1 mark, while Dayna Jackson is 8-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

Tanyaradzwa Kaome and Leiloni Payton have also been key contributors, combining for 13 wins in singles action.

In doubles play, the Golden Tigers have been just as dominant, compiling a 21-10 record overall and 19-2 in conference matches.

The pairing of Blanks and Gabrielle Geary has been particularly effective, going 6-0 together, while Dayna Jackson and Taylor Ford have teamed up for a 5-3 record.

Kaome and Payton have won four consecutive matches as a duo, contributing to the team's impressive .905 conference winning percentage in doubles play.

ABOUT CLARK ATLANTA (1-11, 1-6 SIAC)
Meanwhile, Clark Atlanta enters the match with a 1-11 overall record and a 1-6 mark in the SIAC.

The Lady Panthers picked up their lone win against Emory Oxford earlier this season but have struggled to generate consistency throughout the spring.

Individually, Alexandra Turnbough and Janae Troupe each have one singles victory, while Jumai Muhammed also has one win to her name.

In doubles, the pairing of Turnbough and Troupe leads the team with a 1-3 record.

Tuskegee previously defeated Clark Atlanta 6-1 just one week ago, dropping only one singles match and sweeping doubles play.

The Golden Tigers dominated the majority of the matches in straight sets and will look to replicate that performance on Saturday in Atlanta.

With a perfect SIAC record and the top spot in the league standings, Tuskegee will aim to continue its march toward a regular season conference title and secure favorable seeding for the postseason tournament.

Saturday's match provides another opportunity to showcase their depth, experience, and dominance in the league as they approach the final stretch of the season.
