TUSKEGEE, Ala. ^__ The Tuskegee women's tennis team is set to begin its 2025 season with a road test against West Alabama on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Vaughan Tennis Complex.
 
The Golden Tigers enter the match coming off an impressive 2024 campaign that saw them capture the SIAC Championship and earn a spot in the NCAA South Regional Tournament.
 
West Alabama, ranked No. 12 in the nation, is looking to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to Alabama State in its season opener.
 
Tuskegee is aiming to build upon last season's success, where they dominated SIAC play and made a deep postseason run. The Golden Tigers return several key players who contributed to their championship-winning season.
 
The team excelled in both singles and doubles play last year, and they will look to carry that momentum into the 2025 season opener.
 
West Alabama enters the matchup at 0-1 after a competitive loss to Alabama State, where they split singles play but were swept in doubles action.
