TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee men's and women's cross country have released their schedule for the 2024 season, head coach LaShaunda Easterling announced on Monday.
The Golden Tigers will kick off their season at the Falcon Classic Twilight. The event is hosted by Montevallo on Sept. 6, as TU will compete in Montevallo for the second straight season after finishing just outside of the top ten overall in the Falcon Classic in 2023.
On Sept. 21, a quick trip to Macon pits TU at the Julius Johnson Invite, for the program's first meet outside of Alabama. For the third meet of the month, the Golden Tigers will compete in the Hawk Invitational, in Grady, Ala., hosted by Huntingdon on Sept. 27.
The next meet on the 2024 slate will give Tuskegee a sneak peek into the upcoming South Regional meet later in the season. TU will compete in the Chargers Invite, on the campus of UAH on Oct. 12, the host course of the NCAA South Regional Championships.
This season's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships are set for Oct. 25, with location to be determined later. Last season in Macon, the men finished fifth overall with an average time of 33:52. On the women's side, All-SIAC performers Anaya Martin and Akierah Walker led the Tuskegee as the women took home fourth place in the championship meet.
The NCAA South Regional Championships will take place on Nov. 9 back in Huntsville for the first time since 2019.
