TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee women's tennis will find out its regional round opponents for postseason play during Monday night's NCAA Tournament Selection Show at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Golden Tigers' date with destiny comes after the program won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) regular season and postseason title last month in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Monday's Selection Show will air live exclusively on NCAA.com beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Golden Tigers earned the SIAC's automatic berth after downing Spring Hill in the semifinal round and Clark Atlanta in the final of the SIAC Tennis Championships. Tuskegee finished the season with a 20-7 record overall and 17-1 mark in conference play, going on to win the program's 14th al-time SIAC title.
In addition to announcing the selected teams, the sites, times, and opponents for the first, second, and third round matches will be revealed during the selection shows.
The NCAA South Region is made up of teams from the Gulf South Conference, Sunshine State Conference, and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Postseason tournament winners from each conference all receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Region Tournament on May 10-11 and will be joined by the next four highest ranked teams in the final rankings.
Two teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the final site, which will be played May 20-24 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
