Golden Tigers Finish Out Weekend with 14th SIAC Women’s Tennis Championship

PEACHTREE, Ga. __ Top-seeded Tuskegee (20-7) l defeated 3-seed Clark Atlanta (17-7) l by a 4-2 score in the final of the SIAC Women's Tennis Championship to claim the postseason crown, being held at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

The Golden Tigers' victory gives the team its 14th SIAC Championship in program history and its first since 2013.

The Golden Tigers defeated No. 3 seed Clark Atlanta in the SIAC Championship, despite dropping the doubles point to start the match.

In singles play, Tanyaradzwa Kaome took a 6-4, 6-3 win at court one, Dayna Jackson won in three sets (1-6, 6-0, 6-2), on court three, and Jamiya Ivory took a 6-3, 6-1 win on court four. Meanwhile, Devynn Jackson clinched the win and title with a two-set win on court six to clinch.

As SIAC Champion, Tuskegee earns the league's automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division II Championship South Regional.
