MACON, Ga. – Tuskegee Cross Country program will compete today in Macon, Ga. as a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion will be crowed as fifteen teams compete in the 2022 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship race.
The Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship will take place Friday, November 4th at Georgia Premier Cross Country Course at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Ga.
The men will run an 8K at 9:00 a.m. and the women will take the field for their 5K at 10:00 a.m.
In last year's competition, Benedict College claimed their second consecutive championship title and finished with a team score of 38 points. Six Tigers finished in the top 20, including three student-athletes who placed in the top 10.
On the women's side, Spring Hill claimed third consecutive women's championship title as they had four runners in the top 10 which included Mary Shelton, Madeline Knightly, Catherine Dulle, and Claire Morgan.
After the completion of each race, the top 10 individuals will be named to the SIAC All-Conference team.
The two championship teams (one men, one women) will represent the conference in the 2022 NCAA Regional Meet slated for Saturday, November 19.
