The Tuskegee University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2019 Huntingdon Invitational and both squads finished second. It would mark the second meet of the season for TU, which was held in Montgomery, Ala.
In a four-team field the men's team placed second with a score of 63 points and an average time of 34:24.
Jelani White was the first Golden Tiger to cross the finish line coming in fifth place with an 8k time of 29:40.4.
Brandon Crockett placed 16th out of 34 runners.
The women's team competed in the 6k race producing a score of 46 for an average finish time of 31:06.
Angelique Johnson paced TU with a seventh place finish and a time of 28:06.1.
Kayla Howard also finish in the top 10, clocking in at 29:04.0 while
Kailyn Thrash finished 13th out of 31 runners competing.
Both teams will run at the West Georgia Invitational Fri. Sept. 27 in Carrollton, Ga. hosted by the University of West Georgia.
