MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The Tuskegee University women's team closed out the SIAC Crossover with their fourth consecutive victory as they defeated Fort Valley State 5-1. The match was called off when one of Fort Valley State players suffered a significant lower leg inury.
Tuskegee (6-3, 6-1 SIAC) won two of three doubles points, including at number one when
Reicia North and
Monica Thomas claimed an 8-1 victory. They won their second point of the match when the number three team of
Kayla Triche and
Taylor Wilson claimed an 8-2 victory.
In singles play, Tuskegee got victories at number one, two and six to close out the match. The two teams were battling at number five as they split the first two sets before the match was called.
