MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The Tuskegee University women's tennis team swept through day two of the SIAC Crossover with victories over LeMoyne-Owen and Spring Hill.
 
Tuskegee started the day with a 9-0 victory over Tuskegee, clinching the match by winning the two doubles points when the team of Reicia North and Monica Thomas claimed an 8-0 victory over Keyaira Shumpert and Lauryn Joiner of LeMoyne-Owen. They followed that up with an 8-0 victory by Kimberly Bowen and Navilla Paul over LeMoyne-Owen's Trakeisha Millbrook and Cheyanne Wright.
 
They also won all four singles matches that were played, as all four were played in pro sets with Tuskegee dropping just nine of 49 points overall.
 
Tuskegee closed the day with a 5-0 victory over Spring Hill to finish off Friday, winning all three doubles points before entering singles play. North and Thomas won at number one, 8-4, while the number two team of Bowen and Paul claimed an 8-1 victory. The final point in doubles play came when Taylor Wilson and Kayla Triche claimed an 8-1 victory.
 
The match ended when Tuskegee won two singles matches with Thomas defeating Madison Artigues 6-2, 6-1; while the match ended when Bowen won at number four over Brena Carreda 6-2, 6-2.
