COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Tuskegee's run towards a championship has been put on a brief hold.
Inclement weather washed out most of the action on Tuesday during Day 2 of the 2026 SIAC Softball Championships presented by Toyota. The Golden Tigers were set to play Albany State in an elimination game between the two top seeds in the tournament. The rains came early and the start was pushed back several hours in hopes of salvaging some games at South Commons Softball Complex.
The two teams started to play in the late afternoon but more rains came through the area and the remainder of the schedule was postponed. Tuskegee and Albany State will resume action on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. CDT with the score tied at 0 in the second inning.
