TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee softball swept SIAC weekly honors after a strong 4-1 week, as
Kenya Tatum was named SIAC Player of the Week and
Monica Rose earned SIAC Pitcher of the Week recognition.

Tatum led Tuskegee offensively during the 4-1 stretch, batting .438 (7-for-16) with three runs scored, five RBI, one home run, and two walks. She posted a .500 on-base percentage and a .625 slugging percentage while reaching base in four of five games.

She delivered a key performance in Tuskegee's win over Claflin, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to ignite the Golden Tigers' offense. Tatum followed with a perfect 3-for-3 outing against Division I opponent Alcorn State, driving in a run and setting the tone at the top of the lineup.

In addition to her production at the plate, Tatum was aggressive on the basepaths, stealing five bases in six attempts. Her timely hitting and consistency were instrumental in Tuskegee's successful week against both conference and Division I competition.

Rose anchored the Golden Tiger pitching staff, going 2-1 with a 1.75 ERA across three complete-game appearances. She tossed 20.0 innings, allowing just five earned runs while striking out 15 and issuing only five walks.

Rose limited opponents to 13 hits over her 20 innings of work and demonstrated command and durability throughout the week. She delivered a dominant outing in Tuskegee's victory over Claflin and continued her strong performances against Division I competition, efficiently working through high-pressure innings.

Her ability to control tempo, limit big innings, and finish games was critical to Tuskegee's 4-1 week.
