TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The wait is over.
Tuskegee University football officially opened its 2025 fall camp over the weekend, as the Golden Tigers returned to the gridiron to begin on-field preparations for one of the most anticipated games of the season, the Red Tails Classic against Winston-Salem State on Sunday, August 31 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
Under the leadership of second-year head coach Aaron James, the Golden Tigers hit the field for their first official practice of fall camp on Wednesday, August 6, with practices scheduled through August 19 to conclude camp.
The two-week stretch will be critical as the staff continues to install schemes, evaluate player development, and set the tone for a season filled with expectations.
Tuskegee's fall camp will feature position battles at key spots, while the return of veteran leaders adds strength and experience on both sides of the ball. The Golden Tigers are aiming to build on last season and return to championship contention in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
The opener against Winston-Salem State marks Tuskegee's fifth consecutive appearance in the Red Tails Classic, a nationally televised HBCU showcase honoring the legacy of the famed Tuskegee Airmen.
The game kicks off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU, bringing national exposure to the Golden Tigers and highlighting the history, pride, and excellence of HBCU football.
Practices during fall camp are closed to the public, but fans are encouraged to follow Tuskegee Athletics on social media and visit GoldenTigerSports.com for behind-the-scenes access, interviews, and daily updates throughout camp.
Tickets for the Red Tails Classic are available now here.
