TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee University Athletics is proud to announce the addition of Tyrece Battle as the new Assistant Volleyball Coach for the Golden Tigers.
Battle brings a dynamic combination of playing experience, coaching expertise, and national recognition to Tuskegee's volleyball program as it continues to build for long-term success.
Widely known as "Coach Rece," has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars in the sport, earning the prestigious 2025 AVCA Top Thirty Under 30 Coach's Award and the 2024 AVCA Diversity Award for his impact on advancing the game and developing athletes at all levels.
In addition to his new role at Tuskegee, Battle serves as the Co-Director and Head Coach of the 18s Girls' and 18s Boys' teams at Georgia Aces Volleyball Club, an organization he also owns and operates.
A former professional athlete and three-sport college athlete, Battle has built a strong reputation for developing players through his work as a sports performance specialist and his coaching across both indoor and beach volleyball. His ability to train and mentor athletes to maximize their potential aligns with Tuskegee's mission of fostering growth both on and off the court.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Rece to the Tuskegee volleyball family," said Pamela Perkins, Head Coach of Tuskegee Volleyball. "His passion for the game, experience as a former athlete, and proven track record of developing players will be instrumental in elevating our program and providing our student-athletes with an elite training environment."
Battle's addition marks a significant step forward for Tuskegee Volleyball as the Golden Tigers aim to compete at the highest level in the SIAC and beyond. With his energy, leadership, and innovative approach to athlete development, the program is well-positioned for success heading into the 2025 season.
