TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee University volleyball has been honored with the prestigious American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year, recognizing the Golden Tigers' exceptional work in the classroom.
The award, which celebrates collegiate volleyball programs that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 or higher, highlights Tuskegee's continued academic excellence. The Golden Tigers posted an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.33, earning national recognition among hundreds of collegiate programs across all divisions.
'The AVCA Team Academic Award was established in the 1992–93 academic year to honor programs that uphold the commitment to student-athlete success in all areas.
This marks another milestone for Tuskegee volleyball, which continues to rise as a force in the SIAC both athletically and academically.
As the Golden Tigers prepare for the upcoming 2025 season, the team remains focused on maintaining high performance standards and setting an example of holistic student-athlete success.
