ATLANTA, Ga. – Tuskegee junior An'Janae Latchinson has been named the SIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week after an outstanding all-around showing at the Georgia Tech Invitational held April 18–19 in Atlanta.
Latchinson opened the weekend with a personal-best time of 12.15 seconds in the 100 meters, followed by a 15th-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking in at 24.56 seconds, one of the fastest SIAC times this season.
She also competed in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.34 seconds, showcasing her strength in both sprint and technical events.
To cap off her weekend, Latchinson contributed to the women's 4x100-meter relay team, which posted a season-best 48.08.
Her consistency and versatility across all four events helped set the tone for the Golden Tigers in a deep and competitive field.
Her performance continues to position her among the top athletes in the SIAC as Tuskegee heads into championship season.
