TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee women's tennis is set to continue its postseason run this Friday as the No. 1 seed in the 2025 Cricket SIAC Women's Tennis Championship.
The Golden Tigers will face No. 4 seed Spring Hill College in the semifinal round at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Georgia.
First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET.
ABOUT TUSKEGEE (14–6 OVERALL, 13–1 SIAC)
Tuskegee enters the championship weekend as the top seed for the second consecutive season and has dominated SIAC play all spring.
The Golden Tigers are riding a season of balance and depth, boasting a remarkable .731 winning percentage in singles matches and .698 in doubles, with six players owning double-digit win totals.
Leading the way is Chloe Griffin-Harrington, who carries a 12–1 record in singles and a perfect 11–0 mark in SIAC play, winning 12 straight matches.
Dayna Jackson has been equally impactful with a 13–5 overall singles record and an 11–2 conference tally, while Leiloni Payton is 14–2 overall and a perfect 12–0 in SIAC action.
In doubles, the duo of Tanyaradzwa Kaome and Payton is 12–6 on the year and 11–2 in SIAC, while Gabrielle Blanks and Jackson (8–2) and Taylor Ford and Gabrielle Geary (6–1) add versatility and strength at all three doubles lines.
Tuskegee swept Spring Hill earlier this season in both meetings, the first a 7–0 win on March 6 and another 7–0 win on April 3, without dropping a set in either match.
ABOUT SPRING HILL (8–16 OVERALL, 8–6 SIAC)
Spring Hill arrives as the No. 4 seed and is coming off back-to-back road losses but has won five of its last eight SIAC matches.
Despite their sub-.500 record, the Badgers have shown signs of improvement throughout the season, particularly in conference play.
Junior Emma Koch leads the team with a 10–12 singles record, including a 7–5 mark in conference play, while Brooke Powers sits at 11–11 overall and 8–4 in SIAC play.
In doubles, Spring Hill has struggled with consistency, compiling a 22–43 overall mark and a .338 winning percentage.
The most reliable pairing has been Pager/Kroemer, who are 8–8 overall and 6–4 in conference play. However, several key duos, including Bosman/Koch and Powers/Marin Sabao, have dropped multiple close matches.
The Badgers have lost 10 of their last 13 doubles contests overall and haven't claimed the doubles point in a match since early April.
Tuskegee, by contrast, has claimed the doubles point in 13 of its last 15 matches, with a rotation that has delivered consistently across all three courts.
The Golden Tigers also lead the conference in total wins, team winning percentage, and fewest sets lost.
The semifinal winner will advance to the SIAC Championship final on Saturday afternoon, with the conference title and NCAA postseason implications on the line.
