Preview: Men’s Tennis Hosts Alabama A&M for Senior Day Showdown at Pepsico Courts

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — The Tuskegee men's tennis team is set to celebrate Senior Day in style on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Tigers host in-state non-conference rival Alabama A&M University at 1 p.m. at the Pepsico Tennis Courts.

Tuskegee enters the match at 9-6 overall and 8-2 in SIAC play, while the Bulldogs come in with a 6-11 record and a 5-1 mark in the SWAC.

Saturday's matchup will serve not only as a celebration of Tuskegee's senior leaders but also as a valuable test ahead of postseason play.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (9-6, 8-2 SIAC)
The Golden Tigers have been consistent all season, led by a balanced singles lineup and a high-performing doubles corps.

Tuskegee has compiled a 44-24 singles record on the year and a 23-13 doubles mark, winning 75 percent of their conference singles matches and 83 percent of their SIAC doubles contests.

Headlining the singles lineup is senior Zamani Moyo, who boasts a 9-1 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 in SIAC matches, all from the No. 1 position.

Moyo is riding an eight-match winning streak and has been a model of consistency in both singles and doubles play. He and partner Symon Brown have combined for an 8-3 doubles record, including 7-1 in conference play, with a current three-match win streak.

Fellow senior Kevin Eutsey has been another standout, holding a 9-2 singles record with a 7-1 SIAC mark, primarily at No. 3. Eutsey has won four straight singles matches and pairs with Miles Wilson in doubles, where the duo has posted a 7-3 record overall and 7-1 in conference play.

They've gone 7-2 at the No. 2 doubles position and enter the weekend on a three-match win streak.

Ty'lon Miller and Torain Alleyne have added depth across the singles board. Miller owns an 8-4 record (7-1 SIAC), with most of his wins coming at No. 6. Alleyne has gone 6-4 overall and 5-1 in conference, contributing key points at multiple positions.

The pairing of Tyler Ladge and Eliyahu Pinkney has also emerged as a reliable force in doubles, going 7-3 overall (6-2 SIAC) and 7-2 at No. 1.

ABOUT ALABAMA A&M (6-11, 5-1 SWAC)
Alabama A&M arrives in Tuskegee on a bit of a late-season surge, winning four of its last six matches.

The Bulldogs hold a 6-11 overall record and 5-1 in SWAC play, including recent wins over Prairie View, Alcorn State, and Jackson State.

In singles, the Bulldogs are led by Tasso Moreira (4-4), Goran Krivokapic (4-9), and Chih Lan Yin (4-9), who has won two straight matches and is 3-0 in conference action.

As a team, A&M has compiled a 22-44 singles record but has been far more competitive in SWAC play with a 14-6 conference mark.

In doubles, Alabama A&M holds a 13-19 record overall, but has excelled in league competition with a 9-2 SWAC record.

The duo of Agustin Marquez and Chih Lan Yin has been their most successful pairing, going 5-4 overall and 4-0 in conference. Another solid team has been Krivokapic and Arnav Pathange, who are 4-2 overall and undefeated in SWAC action at 3-0.

With postseason implications on the horizon and emotions running high for Senior Day, Saturday's match is expected to be highly competitive and energetic.

Fans are encouraged to attend and arrive early to honor Tuskegee's graduating players during a pre-match ceremony.

The Golden Tigers are looking to close out their home schedule on a high note and carry momentum into the SIAC Tournament.
