Tuskegee University Gears Up for Action-Packed Weekend of Home Athletics Events

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Golden Tiger pride will be on full display this weekend as Tuskegee University hosts a thrilling lineup of home athletics events across campus. With baseball, football, and tennis all in action, it's the perfect time for fans, students, alumni, and community members to unite in support of Tuskegee's talented student-athletes. 

Tuskegee Baseball returns to Washington Field for a key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) showdown against the Benedict Tigers.  

The three-game series will serve as a pivotal matchup as the Golden Tigers look to climb the conference standings heading into the final stretch of the regular season. 

The Golden Tigers will open their home series against Benedict on Friday, April 11 at 2 PM, with the first game setting the tone as the Golden Tigers aim to gain early momentum against a competitive SIAC opponent.  

The action continues on Saturday, April 12, with a doubleheader set for 12 PM and 3 PM. Fans can look forward to a high-energy afternoon. 

Washington Field will be filled with fun, music, and baseball. Concessions will be available, and fans are encouraged to wear Tuskegee gear and cheer loudly as the Golden Tigers battle in a conference showdown. 

Golden Tiger Football returns to Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium for the highly anticipated Spring Game on Saturday, April 12 at 11 AM.  

This annual intrasquad scrimmage gives fans an exciting preview of the 2025 team, including new recruits, rising stars, and returning veterans. 

Under the leadership of third year Head Coach Aaron James, the Golden Tigers have been working hard this spring to build upon last season's successes.  

The Spring Game offers a unique chance to witness the team's progress and get an early look at position battles, offensive and defensive schemes, and standout performers. 

The event is free and open to the public, and fans are encouraged to arrive early, bring their lawn chairs, wear their crimson and old gold, and get loud for their Golden Tigers.  

The Marching Crimson Pipers and cheer squad will be on-site to keep the energy high and the school spirit alive. 

The Tuskegee men's and women's Tennis teams will also take center stage this Saturday as they host Alabama A&M in a much-anticipated dual match at the Pepsico Tennis Courts. 

Both the men's and women's matches begin simultaneously, promising an exciting afternoon of competitive tennis. 

The Golden Tigers are coming off strong performances this season and are eager to continue their momentum against a formidable Alabama A&M program.  

The matches will showcase the athleticism, strategy, and determination of Tuskegee's tennis athletes as they look to defend their home courts and fine-tune their play heading into postseason competition. 

Spectators will enjoy courtside seating and an up-close look at the fast-paced action and sportsmanship of collegiate tennis. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. 

This weekend is more than just a series of athletic events—it's a celebration of teamwork, tradition, and Tuskegee pride.
