The Golden Tigers are aiming to build on the momentum established in their season debut in Starkville, where the women's team delivered multiple top 15 finishes and the men's team showcased depth across several events.
Â
Head coach
LaShaunda Easterling, who was named the USTFCCCA South Region Women's Coach of the Year and led Tuskegee to the 2025 SIAC Indoor Championship title, is optimistic about the progress of her squad in the transition to the outdoor season.
Â
The women's team continues to be led by All-SIAC performer
Anaya Martin, who starred during the indoor season and picked up where she left off at the Bulldog Alumni Relays.
Â
Martin posted personal bests in the 1500 meters (5:10.30) and 5000 meters (20:00.39), while also taking part in both the 4x400 and 4x800-meter relays to top 10 finishes.
Â
In the field events, sophomore
Danielle Wilson made headlines by setting a new personal best in the hammer throw (40.83 meters) and delivering solid performances in both the javelin and shot put.
Â
On the men's side, distance has been a strong suit so far, with
Jayden Davidson recording personal bests last weekend in the 800 meters (1:57.29) and the 1500 meters (4:13.25). He also played a key role on the men's 4x800 relay team that clocked a time of 8:11.72 to place fourth.

KeyWun Rowles taking 10th (1.85 meters) and 14th (1.65 meters) respectively in the high jump. Rowles also finished 12th in the javelin (43.59 meters)
Â
Christian Goode and
Jackson Murry both finished 11th in the men's pole vault at 4.05 meters, while
Drake Hudson finished 10th (44.78 meters) in the javelin and 15th (40.91 meters) in the discus.
Â
Tuskegee's sprinters and jumpers will also look to make their mark in a meet expected to feature a highly competitive field.
Â
The Golden Tigers are eager to sharpen their performances ahead of the stretch run of the outdoor season, which includes additional regular season meets and the upcoming SIAC Outdoor Championships.
Â
With continued development across the board and standout athletes already posting conference-leading marks, Tuskegee will look to use the UAB Spring Invitational as another platform to reinforce their championship aspirations and fine-tune their performances.
