ATLANTA, Ga. ^__ After an impressive showing at the SIAC Crossover in Hoover, Alabama, Tuskegee softball's Monica Rose has been named SIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Rose's dominant performances in the circle helped lead the Golden Tigers to a perfect 7-0 record at the event, improving to 13-3 overall and 10-0 in conference play.

The freshman was exceptional throughout the crossover, going 3-0 with four appearances, pitching 21.1 innings, while striking out 28 and maintaining a 0.24 ERA over the three-day span.

In the first game of the Crossover, Rose pitched five innings and allowed three hits and struck out seven in her second scoreless game of the season.

She pitched another seven innings against Fort Valley State, allowing just one run on six hits and striking out 10 batters. She later pitched another 4.1 innings against Benedict, striking out five in the win.

In Tuskegee's 8-0 shutout victory over Albany State, she delivered a masterful performance, tossing a complete game five-inning shutout while allowing just three hits and striking out six batters.

Across multiple appearances during the crossover, Rose consistently shut down opposing lineups, finishing the weekend with a dominant ERA and an impressive strikeout-to-walk ratio.

With the SIAC Crossover sweep behind them, the Golden Tigers will look to maintain their unbeaten conference record as they continue SIAC play.
