TUSKEGEE, Ala. ^__ The Tuskegee men's and women's outdoor track & field teams will compete at the 2024 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
The meet will take place from Thursday, April 25, to Saturday, April 27, at B.T. Harvey Stadium, on the campus of Morehouse College. Events are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. ET on all three days.

Tuskegee will look to compete for the conference crown and dethrone last year's champions Benedict College, who swept their respective sides at the 2023 Outdoor Championships last season also in Atlanta. 

The Golden Tigers are headlined by 15 athletes who have top-ten marks in their respective events in the conference.
 
Anitria Sangster looks to continue her strong season, holding top four marks in the 100m, 200m, and 400m ranks in the conference. The senior has the fourth-best time in the 100m (12.04), third-best in the 200m (24.78), and second-best time in the 400m (56.56). Meanwhile, Anaya Martin also holds numerous top ten marks in the SIAC, holding the second-best mark in the 3K Steeplechase with a time of 12:57.25, fourth-best mark in the 800 at 2:27.51, sixth-best mark in the 5000m at 21:52.89, and eighth-best in the 1500 at 5:22.84.
 
In the field, Danielle Wilson holds top-ten distances in the discus, hammer throw, and javelin, while Amira Broussard holds top-ten marks in the long jump and 400m hurdles. Jahkaya McBurney enters with the second-best score on the women's heptathlon, finishing a meet earlier this month at Troy University with a score of 3,578 points.
 
On the men's side, Christian Sanders and Shawn Jarrett II hold top marks in the hurdles, with Sanders holding the tenth best time in the SIAC in the 110m hurdles at 16.23, while Jarrett II holds the third-best time in the 400m hurdles at 54.30.
 
Skyler Carrillo, Drake Hudson, and Caleb White all hold top sports in the field events, as White holds the top mark in the conference in the discus (47.63m), seventh in the hammer (41.05m), and eighth in the shot put (14.01m). Hudson's 45.71 meter distance marks second-best in the javelin throw and his 44.66 meter distance marks the fifth-best discus throw in the SIAC, while Carrillo holds the tenth-best mark in the hammer throw at 39.07 meters.
