TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee softball clinched its final conference series of the regular season, taking a home doubleheader by scores of 7-0 and 5-4 on Saturday against Kentucky State.

Tuskegee easily dispatched Kentucky State in game one, 7-0. The Golden Tigers were the first to get on board and take the early lead in the second inning when second baseman
Jada Chadwick hit a solo home run to left field.
TU stretched its lead by adding three more runs, the first on a fielder's choice bunt from
Victoria Harrison to score
Carole Ross, followed by an RBI double from
T'yauna Rector to bring home two more runs for the 4-0 lead.
The Golden Tigers later added their final three runs in the fifth, as
Kaeley Roldan drew a walk with the bases loaded, followed by a sacrifice fly from Harrison and the final run off a double from
Nylah Strange-Lindley to score Ross for the 7-0 final.
Kamya Hampton earned the win for Tuskegee in the circle, allowing just three hits, striking out seven and walking one in her 17th complete game of the season.
Harrison and Rector both drove in two runs each, while Chadwick went 2-for-3 from the plate and Roldan drew two walks, both leading the team respectively in the contest.
Tuskegee 5, Kentucky 4
The Golden Tigers took game two of the doubleheader in dramatic fashion with a 5-4 walk-off victory over the Thorobreds. The game was tied at 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh when Harrison doubled to center field, scoring the winning run.
Strange-Lindley went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in the win, singling in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.
Kentucky State got on the board first in the top of the second after an RBI single and RBI double, each scoring one run, putting KSU up 2-0 heading into the bottom of the second.
Tuskegee tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth, as Strange-Lindley singled, driving home
Payton Dunham. Strange-Lindley later scored alongside Harrison on an error by the catcher to take a 4-2 lead.
The Thorobreds regained the lead again with another two runs in the seventh thanks to a pair of hits and a Tuskegee error, however the Golden Tigers ended the game with a two-out RBI double from Harrison to score
Alexis Thompson for the 5-4 win.
Caroline Clark earned the win in the circle for Tuskegee, giving up eight hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, her ninth complete game of the year. The junior also struck out 11 batters and did not walk one in the win.
As a team, Tuskegee collected 11 hits in the second game, led by
Jessica Morales, Ross, and Strange-Lindley, who each collected three hits.
Up Next
The two programs will meet for the final game of the three-game series and regular season on Sunday, with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
