TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee softball team travels to Miles for a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series this Saturday and Sunday. This will be the first meeting between the rival programs this season.

Tuskegee is 22-20 this season and coming off a 3-1 home non-conference win over Point on Wednesday. The Golden Tiger won a defensive battle, combining for just hits on the day, while
Jada Chadwick and
Carole Ross both drove in a run.
Kamya Hampton (16-8) earned the win for Tuskegee, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out four and walking two in her 16th complete game of the year.
Tuskegee is 15-5 against Miles over the last 20 meetings and looking for its sixth straight win in the series. During the streak, the Golden Tigers have outscored Miles 48-11 over five games.
Miles is 8-22 so far and 5-11 in league play and coming off a pair of losses on the road to Mississippi College (9-1, 10-1) on Tuesday. The Golden Tigers are batting .253 as a team with 174 hits, 20 doubles, six triples, eight home runs, 114 runs scored, and 87 RBI this season.
Offensively, Miles is led by Michelle Tanks, who is batting .324 with 23 hits, two doubles, two home runs, and nine runs batted in. Tanks is the only player batting above .300 on the Miles roster.
The Golden Bears has a 7.96 team earned run average in the circle. Desalynn Nesbitt has a team-best 5.19 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 78 innings pitched. Nesbitt is 4-6 this season and leads the pitching unit in wins. Meanwhile, Shakayla Terry has appeared in eight games, holding a 2-5 record with 29 strikeouts in 34.2 innings, followed by Abigail Boudreaux with 11 strikeouts in 36.2 innings.
