TUSKEGEE – Tuskegee tennis is set to return the courts this weekend in Mobile with a conference match against Spring Hill at the Gerald L. Wallace Tennis Center.

Tuskegee is coming off a successful trip to Mobile last weekend in the first SIAC Tennis Round-Up, as the women finished competition 8-0, while the men finished 4-2 in league play.

On the women's side, the Golden Tigers defeated LeMoyne-Owen, Fort Valley State, Clark Atlanta, Edward Waters, Lane, Savannah State, Benedict, and Albany State in the round-up that included five shutouts.
 
Reigning SIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week Taylor Ford led the way for Tuskegee, finishing play undefeated in all action, ending 7-0 in singles play, along with holding a 6-0 mark in doubles with her partner Dayna Jackson. Ford also won on four separate single courts, going 3-0 at No. 5 and 2-0 at No. 3, and is currently 7-2 overall in singles.

Overall, TU went 33-2 in singles play during the round-up and 15-3 in doubles. The pairing of Barbara Phillips and Gabrielle Geary also finished unbeaten in doubles, going 4-0 including a 3-0 mark at No. 3.
 
On the men's side, Tuskegee fell to Spring Hill (7-0) and Benedict (5-2) but took down Fort Valley State (7-0), Morehouse (5-0), LeMoyne-Owen (5-0), and Lane (4-1) in the round-up.

Eight different players have earned multiple wins in singles play so far, with Tyler Ladge, Ty'lon Miller, Zamani Moyo, and Teryon Newbold-Hudson all having four. Overall, the team improved to 26-23 in dual singles, including a combined 21-4 mark in conference play.
  
In dual doubles, the Golden Tigers are a combined 7-13 this spring. The duo of Eliyahu Pinkney and Torain Alleyne have been the most successful so far, earning three victories. Meanwhile, there are four different pairings have earned at least one win. The best position has been No. 1 where the team is 3-5.
