TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee women's tennis team will begin its spring 2024 slate over the weekend, taking on non-conference Montevallo in a Saturday doubleheader in Montgomery.

Location: Montgomery, Ala.
After playing one match during the fall and participating in the HBCU National Tennis Championships in Atlanta, the Golden Tigers will battle Montevallo this Saturday in a doubleheader, with first serves scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Ten players from the previous campaign are back, featuring two pairs of sisters in
Dayna Jackson and
Devynn Jackson, along with
Barbara Phillips and
Brianna Phillips. Also included in the returners are
Taylor Ford,
Chloe Griffin-Harrington,
Jera Hargrove,
Jamiya Ivory,
Landry Samuels, and
Mikiah Stephenson.
Three new players join Tuskegee's 2023–24 roster. The new roster features the lone freshman
Gabrielle Geary, along with transfers
Tanyaradzwa Kaome from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC and
Maud Tsaura from East Central CC.
After a 14-5 overall record and 12-2 league mark last season, head coach
Gregory Green was named the 2023 SIAC Tennis Coach of the Year. In postseason play, the Golden Tigers finished in the quarterfinal round of play in the SIAC Tennis Championships held in Peachtree City, Georgia.
