TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The highly anticipated Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic returns to A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium in Columbus, this Saturday, October 5 at 2 p.m. ET, after a three-year stint at Legion Field in Birmingham.
This historic rivalry, dating back to 1902, marks the first meeting in Columbus since 2019. Tuskegee enters the game with a 1-3 overall record and 1-2 in conference play, following a 27-13 victory over Edward Waters. Morehouse, sitting at 1-4 overall and 1-2 in conference, is coming off a 5-21 loss to Benedict.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (1-3, 1-1 SIAC)
Tuskegee's season began with setbacks in the first three games, but the Golden Tigers bounced back with a solid performance in the win against Edward Waters.
Johnny Morris has been the focal point of the run game, leading the team with 171 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season. Quarterback
Raequan Beal has managed the offense effectively, contributing three touchdown passes through four games. Tuskegee will look to further develop its offensive rhythm, having averaged 334.3 yards per game.
Meanwhile, receivers like a pair of redshirt freshman receivers in
Reggie Brigman and
Gabriel Garmon provide playmaking ability downfield, as Brigman leads the team with 15 catches for 271 yards, and Garmon has 12 receptions for 160 yards so far.
The defensive unit will also look to build on a solid showing in the win over Edward Waters. Safety
Rossie Grimes leads the way on the year with 27 total tackles, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.
Kaquan Kimber and
Malik Moore are also among the leaders in stops, with 25 and 20 total tackles respectively.

Morehouse has had a challenging start to the season, with losses to Howard, Benedict, and Johnson C. Smith, but they earned their first win in a thrilling 31-28 victory over Kentucky State.
Quarterback Miles Scott has provided a spark for the Maroon Tigers' offense, with nine touchdown passes on the season. Morehouse's defense, led by Caleb Grant and Sean Johnson, will need to step up to limit Tuskegee's dynamic offense.
