TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee softball has announced its 2024 schedule, highlighted by over 30 games in the state of Alabama and 14 regular season home games at the TU Softball Field.
The fifth season of softball under head coach Deitrich Randle will begin Feb. 2-4 when the Golden Tigers participate in the Mardi Gras Invitational in Youngsville, La. Teams for this weekend include Southern Nazarene, Augustana, Southern Arkansas, Central Oklahoma, Southeastern Oklahoma State, and Harding.

Following the opening weekend, the Golden Tigers will then compete in the Red, White, Blue Classic hosted by Columbus State, where other programs will include Union, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Georgia College & State starting on Feb. 10.
The season's first true road game will be Feb. 21 when Tuskegee heads to face nearby Alabama State in a double header.
The Golden Tigers close out the month with a trip back to Montgomery for the HBCU Celebration Classic to take on Southern (Feb. 20), Tennessee (Feb. 23), Grambling State (Feb. 24), Alabama A&M (Feb. 24), and Alcorn State (Feb. 24).
Tuskegee opens the month of March with a return to Tuskegee to host Talladega on March 4, before a home series against Spring Hill (March 9-10) to open up Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. In the middle of the month, TU will compete in the SIAC Crossover in Jasper, Ala., where they will face Albany State and Benedict (March 12), Clark Atlanta and Fort Valley State (March 13), and Edward Waters, Savannah State, and Allen (March 14) to close out the crossover event.
The rest of the slate for March features a home series with LeMoyne-Owen (March 23-24) and a midweek home double header against Georgia Southwestern (March 26).

Tuskegee begins April with a road double header against West Alabama (April 2), followed by a series at Lane (April 4-5) and a home double header against Point (April 10).
Concluding the 2024 regular season schedule is a midweek matchup at Talladega (April 11), series at Miles (April 13-14), and the final regular season series at home against Kentucky State (April 20-21).
The 2024 Cricket SIAC Softball Championship will take place on April 30-May 2, with location yet to be determined.
