TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee University volleyball team (1-8, 1-5 SIAC) will play host for a non-conference match on Wednesday evening for a 6 p.m. showdown against Oakwood (3-5, 1-4 GCAC) inside of the Daniel "Chappie" James Arena.

The contest marks one of just six midweek matches for the Golden Tigers this season, and the first of two contests against the Ambassadors over the next week. Tuskegee enters the match after competing in the first SIAC Crossover event in Albany, Georgia, over the weekend, facing off against five other conference opponents in a span of two days.
Junior outside hitter
Moriah Seay leads the way offensively for the Golden Tigers, recording 86 total kills on the season
__ including 11 in TU's win over Allen (Sept. 22). Seay is also currently fourth in the conference in aces per set (0.53) and fifth in points per set (3.22). On the defensive side,
Alexandria Ellis is second in the SIAC in blocks per set (0.93), while Seay leads the team in total digs with 113.
Mikea Allen has also distributed the ball well this season, totaling 156 total assists (4.59 assists/set), along with her 65 digs and nine service aces, while freshman
Rita Nua is one of just two players in the conference to record a triple double.
For Oakwood, head coach Takhera Sanders is in her first year with the program. The Ambassadors come into the game following a 3-0 sweep on the road last Thursday. Trinity Williams leads the way so far with xxx kills, while Cameryn Bucknor has 126 total assists in eight games.Â
