TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee University softball program has released their 2023 spring schedule on Wednesday, featuring 16 home games and a trio of non-conference tournaments.

The road to defending their 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) begins in Columbus, Georgia as they participate in the Red-White-Blue Classic hosted by Columbus State. The Golden Tigers will face Valdosta State and Montevallo on February 10, followed by Georgia Southwestern State and Columbus State the next two days.

Tuskegee will then travel to Orangeburg, S.C. to take part in the CIAA/SIAC Softball Challenge where they will play Claflin and Bowie State on February 17, Lincoln on February 18, and Virginia State and Livingstone College on February 19 to conclude the challenge.

The Golden Tigers will play at home for the first time with a doubleheader against Point (February 22), before competing against Division I competition in the Jackson State Tournament where they will face the host team and Grambling State twice over a two-day span (February 25-26).

Tuskegee will battle another pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponents to start the month of March, hosting nearby Alabama State in a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 1 before traveling to north Huntsville for a doubleheader against Alabama A&M on Saturday, March 4.

Next on the slate is the SIAC Crossover, hosted in Jasper, Alabama once again, where the Golden Tigers will play multiple games over a four-day span from March 9 to March 12, before going on the road for their first conference series against 2022 SIAC runner-up Spring Hill on March 18 and 19.

Tuskegee will then host Anderson College in a midweek doubleheader, before traveling for a three-game series against LeMoyne-Owen (March 25-26).

Soon after, the Golden Tigers will have a stretch of ten consecutive home games, starting with a doubleheader against West Alabama (March 29), followed by a series against Lane (April 1-2). They then prepare to face UAH in doubleheader action (April 11) for a rematch last season's NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament matchup and wrap up their regular season home slate with a series against Miles (April 15-16).

The Golden Tigers close out the regular season with a final three-game series against Kentucky State in Frankfort starting on April 22, before competing in the SIAC Softball Championships in the month of May.
