TUSKEGEE, Ala. – On October 22, Tuskegee will travel to Jackson, Tennessee for a road test against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opponent in Lane College.
The two programs have faced off 26 times in the series, with the first meeting being in 1930 with The Golden Tigers taking a 40-6 victory. After another Tuskegee win in 1931, the two teams did not battle again until 1966 and 1967 and took another hiatus until Lane entered the SIAC. Tuskegee leads the series 25-1 all-time, with their only loss being last season as the Dragons took a 21-17 win at Abbott Memorial Stadium.
The matchup against the Dragons will be one of the final three games for the Golden Tigers in the 2022 regular season, followed by another road matchup at Kentucky State on October 29, and rounded out with the 97th Annual Tuskegee Homecoming Game against Miles on November 5.
