Tuskegee unveils new scoreboard for TU Softball Field

TUSKEGEE, Ala. I The Tuskegee University athletic department and softball team have unveiled a new scoreboard funded by generous contributions from the Tuskegee University National Athletic Association (TUNAA) at the TU Softball Field.

"We are so thankful to the Tuskegee University National Athletic Association," Director of Athletics Reginald Ruffin stated. "This is a major upgrade for the program and will certainly improve the gameday experience at TU Softball Field. The addition of the new scoreboard is a tremendous benefit for our softball student-athletes and a boast for the University to remain a leader in the SIAC. I am excited to see it on and see our team put runs on the board!"

The new scoreboard is manufactured by Nevco and will feature scoreboard displays for both home and guest team scores for up to seven innings and total runs and hits to 99 for each team. It will feature at bat to 99, ball to three, strike to two, and a pair of outs.

Tuskegee softball has enjoyed tremendous success this season, with a 17-9 overall record and 10-1 mark in the SIAC. The Golden Tigers are currently on a four-game home winning streak and second in the win column in the West Division behind Spring Hill at 13-3, however Tuskegee would have the edge in any possible tie breaker, after taking the series between the two programs.
