TUSKEGEE, Ala. – In the first game held inside of Abbott Memorial Stadium this year, Tuskegee (7-2, 6-0 SIAC) will host Miles (1-8, 1-4 SIAC) for Homecoming, in their final Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game of the regular season.
The series between the two programs began in 1929, meeting on 65 total occasions in the series. Tuskegee leads the series 47-17-1, including a streak of 16 games from 1967-83; however Miles is 5-3 over the last eight meetings.

GAME NOTES
- The battle with the Golden Bears will be the first for head coach Reginald Ruffin against his former school since returning to Tuskegee in December. Ruffin went 5-5 against Tuskegee while leading the Miles program.
- A Tuskegee win over the weekend, the Golden Tigers will extend their win streak to eight games heading into the 2022 SIAC Football Championship Game next weekend against Benedict.
- Hybrid linebacker Davir Hamilton-Jackson (Compton, Calif.) was named Defensive Player of the Week after the Golden Tigers' win over Kentucky State. Hamilton-Jackson recorded 11 total tackles, with eight solos and three assisted. He also recorded three tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks in the win, along with an interception to help close out the game and the SIAC West Division for the Golden Tigers.
- Freshman receiver Antonio Meeks (Lilburn, Ga.) was named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week after his second consecutive game with six catches and a pair of scores on Saturday. The freshman followed up last week's SIAC Newcomer of the Week honors with six receptions and a season high 212 yards, including scores of 78 and 52 yards respectively in the win.
- The Golden Tigers find themselves in the top ten of the Super Region Two Rankings that include teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Gulf South Conference (GSC), South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The top seven teams from each region will compete in the playoffs with the No. 1 seed getting a first-round bye. The No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 teams will host the first round.
- Tuskegee is seeking their fifth appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs and first since 2016. The Golden Tigers recently clinched the SIAC West Division title and are scheduled for the Homecoming game against Miles before taking on Benedict in the SIAC Football Championship on Saturday, November 12 in Columbia.
