ATLANTA | The Tuskegee University men's tennis team will begin action Friday morning at 11 am (est) at the SIAC Tennis Championships, held at the Clayton County International Tennis Complex in Jonesboro (Ga.).
Tuskegee (3-13, 3-9 SIAC) earned the fourth seed in the tournament and will face top-seeded Benedict (14-9, 13-0) in the opening match of the tournament. The two teams faced each other earlier this season with Benedict winning the match 9-0.
The Golden Tigers will send a pair of doubles team and four singles player into action Friday morning, and will need to win of the six matches that are involved in to advance to the championship match.
Oshane Trail (7-2, 6-2 SIAC), a Second Team All-SIAC selection, will play at number one singles for the Golden Tigers; while
Brandon Sewell (3-8, 3-6 SIAC) will play at number two this weekend.
Reggie Richardson (5-2, 4-2 SIAC) will move up to play number three singles, while
Jalen Law (2-8, 2-6 SIAC) will play at number four singles.
Trail and Sewell will compete at number one doubles this weekend, having played together several times this season. Meanwhile, Richardson and Law will play at number two doubles.
