TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University men's tennis team fell in their final regular season match of the season to Huntingdon College, 7-2, at the PepsiCo Tennis Courts Monday afternoon.
Tuskegee (3-13, 3-9 SIAC) got one of their wins at number one singles when
Oshane Trail defeated Huntingdon's John Jones 6-3, 6-3 in the final match of the day. They also won at number four singles when
Reggie Richardson won in straight sets over Huntingdon's Seth McClendon 6-2, 7-5.
Huntingdon won the other three matches that were scheduled all in straight sets.
Brandon Sewell came up short in his match at number two against Huntingdon's Ben Marler 6-3, 6-4.
The Hawks entered the match up two points as they won at number six singles and number three doubles by default, and quickly jumped ahead 4-0 after doubles play.
Tuskegee returns to action Friday morning against Benedict in the SIAC Tennis Championships in Jonesboro (Ga.). The match is set for 11 am (est).
