The game can be seen, and heard by click on the links above.
Tuskegee (0-5) will look for their first win of the season as they face West Alabama (2-2) on the road, looking to build off of some of the success they had on Sunday in the final two games of the tournament. After being held to just nine hits through three games, the Lady Golden Tigers erupted for 17 hits in the final two games of the tournament and got on the board with six runs.
The games on Wednesday continue a string of nine consecutive road games to open the season - Cougar Classic in Columbus (Ga.) this weekend - before getting a chance to play at home on February 16 against West Georgia.
Jamaica Williams and
Jasmine Howard lead the team in hitting at .333, while
Adrienne Eaddy is hitting .308 during the first five games of the season. Williams has collected a team-high five hits, while Eaddy and
Kaylin Finch each have four thus far.
Tuskegee, who played without All-SIAC selection
Karisa Foye all weekend, turned to four different pitchers during the D2 Gulf Coast Invitational with
Tori Beth Garner earning the start in two of those games.
This will be the first of two meetings between the two teams, as they will meet again in Tuskegee on April 6. The two teams have played two common opponents in Flagler and Young Harris, both with different results. Tuskegee fell to both opponents, while West Alabama was able pick up wins over both teams.
