TUSKEGEE, Ala. | Due to the amount of rainfall in the area on Monday night, the site has been changed for the Tuskegee University and the University of West Georgia doubleheader. The game, originally scheduled for Tuskegee, will now be played on the University of West Georgia campus beginning at 2 pm (est).
The game at Tuskegee will now be played on March 23.
Tuskegee (0-9) has played their first nine games on the road, including five games in the season-opening D2 Gulf Coast Invitational and two more at the Cougar Classic this past weekend against two opponents - including ninth-ranked Georgia College. The combined records of the eight different opponents that Tuskegee has played is 61-30, including several teams with eight or more wins on the season to date.
The Lady Golden Tigers have played four teams from the Gulf South Conference (Lee, North Alabama, West Alabama and West Florida), three more from the Peach Belt Conference (Flagler, Georgia College and Young Harris) and one from the South Atlantic Conference (Lincoln Memorial).
Tuskegee is led in hitting by freshman
Roneshia Rudolph at .375 through the first nine games this season. She has collected five hits in 14 at-bats, including doubles. Rudolph has also scored a pair of runs and driven in a run this season. Following Rudolph in average is junior college transfer
Jamaica Williams at .292 with a homerun (a three-run homerun against West Alabama), while
Jasmine Howard is hitting .273 in five games.
Seniors
Adrienne Eaddy (.261 BA) and
Cari Driver (.167 BA) have started every game this season for Tuskegee.
On the mound,
Tori Beth Garner (0-2, 8.33 ERA),
Acey Spence (0-3, 9.30 ERA) and
Kaylin Finch (0-2, 13.73 ERA) have seen the majority of the action as they have started eight of the nine games this season for the Lady Golden Tigers. Returning senior
Karisa Foye (0-0, 10.50 ERA) has only seen the mound one time this season in relief.
