In what was clearly the loudest match of the SIAC West Cluster, the Tuskegee Tigerettes gave Kentucky State their toughest competition of the two-day event. TU Volleyball Coach Tarsha Askew even compared the crowd to what is in attendance during basketball season at the Daniel 'Chappie' James Center, calling it the loudest home volleyball match that she has ever coached during her career at Tuskegee. But, the fuel from the home crowd wasn't enough, as Kentucky State still managed to win in straight sets, earning their third consecutive victory on the day.
Tianna Presley-Askew had a mind-boggling 46 digs during the match for Kentucky State, showing how competitive this faceoff was between the Tigerettes and Thorobrettes. Latosha Scott also had a match-high 17 kills during the contest to lead the visiting team. Tuskegee was buoyed by efforts from Pamela Allen (team-high seven kills) and Tanesha Foster (team-high ten digs), but it wasn't enough to prevent TU's first loss of the season.

The Tigerettes clearly weren't prepared for their 8:00 a.m. matchup against LeMoyne-Owen College, losing the first two sets to start the match, and struggling in the second set like they were going to start the season 1-2 with a 3-0 loss. However, Tuskegee managed to rally in a nearly empty 'Chappie' James Center, and fought to earn nailbiting victories in their final two sets to hold off LeMoyne-Owen and earn the win in the most competitve match of the West Cluster, which also yielded the largest comeback victory as well.
