For the second consecutive week, Tuskegee outside hitter

Sakiah Logan earned weekly awards from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Lawson was named Newcomer of the Week while Logan secured the Defensive Player of the Week award for their performances last week.
Lawson, a sophomore from Forney, Texas, hit .346 with 37 kills in three matches (10 sets), where Tuskegee went 2-1. Her 3.70 kills per set led the league and her hitting percentage was seventh. She also averaged six digs per match. She had 13 kills against Talladega while tallying 12 kills against Stillman and South Carolina State.

Logan, a junior from Sachse, Texas, averaged a league-high 5.70 digs per set in three matches. She had a career-high 33 digs against South Carolina State. Her 57 total digs were second in the SIAC this week.
Lawson, Logan and the Golden Tigers will be back in action at the SIACÂ Albany State cluster this weekend, where the Golden Tigers will play in four matches.
