Three Golden Tigers Earn Preseason All-SIAC Baseball Honors; Tuskegee Projected Eighth in Conference Poll

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee baseball placed three student-athletes on the 2026 SIAC Preseason All-Conference Team as announced by the league office, highlighting a veteran group poised to make noise entering the spring season.

Junior Ryan Morrow was named a First Team Preseason All-SIAC Utility Player, while juniors Devon Lee and Jabari Johnson earned Second Team honors.

Morrow returns as one of the most productive and versatile players in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after an outstanding 2025 campaign. Appearing in 49 games with 47 starts, the junior posted a .356 batting average with 57 hits, 30 runs scored, and 46 RBIs while compiling a .456 slugging percentage and .429 on-base percentage.Morrow totaled 73 bases, including seven doubles and three triples, while also contributing on the mound with 27.1 innings pitched, three wins, and 18 strikeouts. Defensively, he logged 163 chances with a .945 fielding percentage while playing multiple positions, earning him the distinction as the lone All-SIAC selection from last season's roster and a preseason first-team nod for 2026.

Joining Morrow on the preseason list is shortstop Devon Lee, who earned Second Team recognition after another strong all-around season. Lee appeared in 48 games with 45 starts, batting .340 with 52 hits, 42 runs scored, and 46 RBIs. He finished the year with seven doubles, five triples, and three home runs, posting a .510 slugging percentage and .439 on-base percentage. Lee also contributed on the mound, recording three saves and 17 strikeouts in 21.1 innings, while anchoring the infield defensively with 192 chances and a .911 fielding percentage.

Fellow junior Jabari Johnson earned his first preseason All-SIAC honor with a Second Team Utility selection following a productive 2025 season. Johnson appeared in 36 games with 31 starts, posting a .316 batting average with 30 hits, 17 runs scored, and 16 RBIs. He added five doubles, three triples, and one home run while maintaining a .463 slugging percentage and .421 on-base percentage. Johnson's versatility was evident both offensively and defensively, as he logged 33 fielding chances with a .970 fielding percentage while also making seven pitching appearances during the season.

Despite the trio of preseason honors, Tuskegee was projected to finish eighth in the SIAC preseason poll. Albany State was selected to finish first, followed by Savannah State, Spring Hill, Edward Waters, Benedict, Miles, and Morehouse. Tuskegee was slotted ahead of Clark Atlanta, Lane, Kentucky State, and LeMoyne-Owen to round out the predicted order of finish.

With multiple preseason honorees and a returning core of experienced contributors, the Golden Tigers enter the 2026 season determined to exceed expectations and contend within a highly competitive SIAC landscape.
