"Winning championships on the field is important but preparing young men and women to become leaders in the classroom, in their careers, and in life is our greatest responsibility."

"These accomplishments validate our vision that athletics should be an extension of the university's academic mission. Every coach, academic support professional, faculty member, administrator, and student-athlete has embraced the belief that excellence is not compartmentalized it is a lifestyle."

Under the leadership of President Dr. Mark A. Brown, Tuskegee University Athletics has transformed into one of the nation's premier NCAA Division II athletic departments, consistently producing success in competition while raising the bar academically.

The latest recognition further reinforces what has become known as the Renaissance Era of Tuskegee Athletics a period defined by historic athletic success, record fundraising, facility enhancements, expansion of sports offerings, and an unwavering commitment to academic achievement.

"Our student-athletes continue to prove that you never have to choose between academic excellence and athletic excellence," Ruffin added. "At Tuskegee University, we expect both. We educate. We dominate. We graduate."

The academic accomplishments complement one of the most successful periods in department history, highlighted by conference championships, national recognition, unprecedented investments in facilities, the launch of new athletic programs, and a department-wide emphasis on student success, leadership development, and career readiness.

"This recognition belongs to every student-athlete who made the decision to attend class, complete assignments, seek tutoring, encourage teammates, and pursue excellence every single day," Ruffin said. "Their discipline has positioned Tuskegee University as the academic standard in the SIAC and one of the nation's premier examples of what intercollegiate athletics should represent."

As Tuskegee University continues to build momentum toward an even brighter future, these academic honors affirm that the Golden Tigers are not only developing champions in competition they are developing scholars, leaders, and future difference makers who will impact communities around the world.
