TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee volleyball team will return to the Daniel "Chappie" James Center for a pair of non-conference matchups this week, hosting Rust College on Monday, Sept. 22, and Claflin University on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Both matches are scheduled for 6 p.m. first serves, marking the Golden Tigers' first back-to-back home appearances of the season.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (3-1, 0-0 SIAC)Â
Tuskegee (3-1) enters the week looking to bounce back after suffering its first setback of the season, a straight-set road loss at Auburn Montgomery.

Prior to that, the Golden Tigers opened 3-0 with victories over Stillman, Claflin, and Oakwood, combining solid defensive play with balanced scoring across the roster.

The Golden Tigers' offense has been paced by newcomers
Najwa Williams, who leads the team with 30 kills while hitting .214, and
Zariah Messick, who has added 27 kills to go along with 32 digs and a .163 attack percentage.

Kayla Coleman (27 kills,.229) and
Jordyn Jones (24 kills,.162) provide additional options at the net, while setters
Mikea Allen (65 assists, 5.00 per set) and
Sahnee Dillahunt-Nedd (40 assists, 5.00 per set) have directed the offense with consistency.

Defensively, libero
Chloe Edwards anchors the back row with a team-high 51 digs (3.92 per set), followed by Allen with 39, while Jones and
Demya Tate have combined for 17 total blocks.

ABOUT RUST (0-12, 0-3 HBCUAC)
Rust (0-12) heads into Monday's contest looking to generate momentum after a challenging opening stretch of their schedule.

The Bearcats have leaned on outside hitter Haya Winfield (62 kills) and middle blocker Musha Alhassan (51 kills) for offensive production, while setter Cameryn Morris (90 assists) has managed the offense.
Â
Rust has shown resilience in several close sets but is still seeking to string together victories in match play.

ABOUT CLAFLIN (0-6, 0-0 CIAA)
Claflin (0-6) will play its second match against Tuskegee this season after falling to the Golden Tigers in three tightly contested sets in Orangeburg earlier this month.

The Panthers are led by outside hitter Aryanna Connell, who ranks among the CIAA leaders with 82 kills (3.57 per set) and 36 digs.

Zaniya Harris (61 kills,.201) provides another key scoring option, while setter Siri Davis directs the attack with 98 assists (4.26 per set). Defensively, Abigail Watts leads Claflin with 71 digs, while Anaya Wofford and Taylor Miller have combined for 24 blocks.

Tuskegee will look to reestablish its offensive rhythm at home and continue its strong defensive identity as it prepares to transition into SIAC play. With two matches in as many days, head coach
