Kamya Hampton and Caroline Clark Named to All-SIAC Softball Teams, Tuskegee Voted Second in West Division in Preseason Poll

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has recognized Tuskegee softball standouts Kamya Hampton and Caroline Clark with Preseason All-SIAC honors.

Hampton earned the First Team All-SIAC nod as a pitcher, while Clark was named to the Second Team All-SIAC, also as a pitcher, highlighting their contributions to Tuskegee's 30-22 overall record and 17-5 conference mark last season.

Hampton anchored the Golden Tigers' pitching staff throughout the season, finishing with a dominant 20-10 record and a stellar 3.22 ERA across 192.2 innings pitched. She led the team in starts at 30 and strikeouts with 157, averaging over five strikeouts per game, while holding opponents to a .233 batting average.

Hampton's consistency was evident in her 21 complete games, including four shutouts, and her ability to limit extra-base hits, giving up just three home runs all season. Defensively, she added 42 assists and four putouts for a .868 fielding percentage.

Clark proved to be an essential asset to Tuskegee's pitching rotation, compiling a 7-10 record with a 5.17 ERA over 92.1 innings pitched. She demonstrated her power and control with 42 strikeouts and allowed only nine home runs on the season. Opponents batted .286 against her, and she recorded nine complete games, including one shutout.

Clark was also impactful at the plate, posting a .280 batting average with 14 hits and 10 RBIs in 50 at-bats. Her ability to contribute both in the circle and offensively made her a versatile and valuable player for the Golden Tigers. Defensively, she recorded 28 assists and eight putouts for a .923 fielding percentage, showing her all-around ability as a key contributor.

The SIAC office also released their predicted order of finish, seeing Tuskegee land second in the West Division. The Golden Tigers were selected behind Spring Hill and directly in front of Miles, who was predicted to finish third.

Tuskegee softball will look forward to building on this momentum this season as they prepare for the upcoming season, relying on a mix of veterans, including Hampton and Clark, and newcomers to continue their competitiveness in the SIAC.

The Golden Tigers open 2025 next week with a road doubleheader against Point. First pitch for the season opener is set for 3 p.m. ET.
