Four Golden Tigers Earn All-SIAC Football Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. — Four members of the Tuskegee University football team were recognized for their standout performances this season, earning All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) honors, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Senior defensive back Mikael King Jr. and junior kicker Lorcan Ryans were named to the First Team, while freshman punter Callum Brent and wide receiver EJ Hall earned Second Team selections.
 
King Jr., one of the anchors of Tuskegee's secondary, was a consistent defensive leader throughout the season. He finished the year with 32 total tackles (24 solo), four interceptions, and four pass breakups. King also forced and recorded a fumble on the year and added key stops in multiple conference games. He tallied a season-high seven tackles and a forced fumble against Central State and added five stops in road games against Jackson State and Albany State.
 
Ryans capped off one of the most productive seasons by a Tuskegee kicker in recent years. delivered a standout season on special teams, converting 14-for-21 field goals (66.7 percent), including a long of 44 yards, and going 18-for-19 on extra points. He led the Golden Tigers in scoring with 60 total points. Ryans also averaged 60.7 yards per kickoff with 17 touchbacks, ranking among the SIAC's best. His consistency provided Tuskegee with reliable scoring and field-position control throughout the year.
 
Brent, a freshman from Melbourne, Australia, emerged as one of the top punters in Division II during his freshman campaign. The England native averaged 41.5 yards per punt on 35 attempts, with a season-long of 68 yards, placing 11 punts inside the 20-yard line and booting six over 50 yards. His consistency in flipping field position proved vital for the Golden Tigers all year.
 
Hall, a redshirt-freshman from Tuskegee, made an immediate impact as both a receiver and return specialist. He led Tuskegee in receiving and all-purpose production, finishing with 909 all-purpose yards, including 627 receiving yards, 208 kickoff return yards, and 74 punting return yards, along with six total touchdowns. He posted 137 all-purpose yards and a touchdown against Lane, 152 receiving yards and a touchdown against Allen, and 246 all-purpose yards and two receiving scores against Benedict, establishing himself as one of the most explosive young players in the conference.
