Two prospects hail from the state of Georgia in Jack Defoor (Atlanta) and Samarion Ward (Lithonia). Defoor totaled 33 hits, including nine doubles, five triples, and two home runs to go along with 30 stolen bases as a senior at Maynard Jackson High School, while Ward is coming to the program off a very successful season with the Georgia Premier Academy and primarily plays catcher and outfield.

Evans joins the program after a year at Wallace CC-Selma, where he played in 49 games and averaged .264 at the plate. The Tuscaloosa native also was responsible for 32 hits, 22 runs, 18 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases last season.
