ATLANTA, Ga. __ The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its 2024 regular season honors Monday morning, awards that saw senior pitcher
Kamya Hampton recognized as an all-conference performer.
The right-handed pitcher headlines the Golden Tigers' representation in the SIAC's post-season awards announcement, as she was named a First Team All-SIAC Pitcher.

Hampton carried the load in the pitching unit for the second straight year for Tuskegee, holding a 19-8 record on the year, including 15 complete games. She led the conference this season in starts at 28, a mark that ranks third in the country, along with leading the SIAC and ranking in the top 15 nationally in wins, good for 12th in the country, appearances (33), 14th in the country, and complete games at 15th.

The Pinson, Ala. native also ranked atop the SIAC and 40th nationally in strikeouts (150), second in the SIAC in shutouts with four and ERA at 2.36, and third in the SIAC in hits allowed per seven innings at 6.08. She allowed 61 earned runs over 180.2 innings of work with one save, while holding opponents to a .232 batting average at the plate and striking out a career high 152 batters.

Tuskegee will start its postseason run today in the SIAC Softball Championship in Columbus at the South Commons Softball Complex, as the team looks to advance and make an appearance in the NCAA Regional Tournament for the third consecutive season.
