TUSKEGEE __ Tuskegee baseball took the second game of the weekend series against Clark Atlanta in dramatic fashion, taking a 9-8 walk-off victory over the Panthers in ten innings on Sunday evening. The game was tied at 8-8 in the bottom of the tenth when freshman
Elgin Neal II drove home
Eli Speights with a single to end the contest.
The Golden Tigers collected 11 hits, tied with the Panthers in hit totals. TU got on the board first in the second after a sacrifice fly from
Ryan Morrow, scoring Neal following three walks to open the frame.
Cody Willis hit a two-out single to shortstop to score
Nicholas Pratt to push the lead to 2-0 heading into the third.
Clark Atlanta got a spark in the third, regaining the lead by scoring three runs on three hits, despite leaving two runners on base. The Panthers scored on three RBI singles, before an infield fly to end the top half of the third.
Tuskegee added five combined runs over the fourth and fifth innings, with two in the fourth on another RBI single from Willis, while Neal and Pratt added to their RBI totals in the fifth, before Pratt later scored on an error to put TU up 7-3 heading into the sixth.
The Panthers tied the game again at 7-7 after exploding in the sixth thanks to four total hits, including three RBI singles. They later gamed an 8-7 lead in the top of the ninth on a solo home run.
After loading the bases to start the ninth, Tuskegee tied the game with one out on a sacrifice fly to center field from
Alex Glass, yet TU could not get another run across the plate, forcing extra innings, where the Golden Tigers took the win.
Devon Lee (2-2) earned the win for Tuskegee, surrendering six hits and six runs over five and one-third innings and striking out five.
Jacori McGee pitched for 2.0 innings, allowing four hits and one run, while
Rodney Mudd II and
Mikelle Mason combined for 2.2 innings of work, allowing just one hit and one run between them.
Willis led the Golden Tigers at the plate, going 3-for-6 with two runs batted in on the day, followed by Pratt and Neal who both earned two hits in the win. Neal also drove home two RBIs along with scoring twice.

Tuskegee will return to diamond on Wednesday to a home-and-home non-conference series against West Alabama. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Washington Field.
