Kamya Hampton was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Pitcher of the Week after helping lead Tuskegee to a 5-0 mark over the last seven days.

Hampton started the week on Tuesday, helping Tuskegee to a 11-0 win against Talladega in the first game of the midweek doubleheader. The right-hander worked for all six innings, allowing just one hit and struck out 11 batters on the day.

She then picked up a pair of wins on the weekend, now at 13-6 on the season. She pitched for nine total innings allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out 14 batters and being part of a team no-hitter in the final game on Sunday. This is Hampton's second time earning the honor this season.

The Golden Tigers (19-17, 9-4 SIAC) will return to the field next Tuesday, April 2 as they hit the road to take on West Alabama in a non-conference doubleheader.
